Do you offer vegetarian pho?
Good food. A bit slow, but prepared fresh. Tasted great!
One of my friends called it Asian Fusion style. The service and the food were good. I will go by ack if I'm in Albany again.
MoreMy husband and I come here for the House Special Fried Rice and Tempura Prawns. Yummy!
MoreExcellent broth, pleasant pho. We also liked the Jeremy's plate of spicy orange chicken with peanuts. Appreciated the brown rice option and glad to see it has GF options for diners with good allergies/sensitivities. Good service!
MoreWe came on a recommendation from a friend and we were so glad we did! We had the Tangy Prawns and the Kim Chi Fried Rice. We actually went for the Pho, but got into it and decided to get other stuff.Super tasty, and a clean facility. Highly recommend.
MoreOverall this restaurant is good. I love the pho chicken and lumberjack Joe.
Husband ordered a regular platter with teriyaki chicken. I ordered the smaller (senior) platter that was supposed to have the same chicken. What I was served was old, dried out rubber that I couldn't even eat. When I asked the server for help he argued they were the same. This is was the 4th time we were treated rude and the food sucked. Sorry Sam, you've lost us.
MoreThey make a nice bowl of pho!
Food is good, above average. Only 2 stars because customer service was horrible. Took far too long to order, for too long for food to make it to the table. The few staff on hand seemed friendly and nice. However they either don't know how, or aren't allowed to do very much. Next time, we order ahead for pick up, unless we have plenty of time to wait.
MoreGreat food. Slow but nice service. Avoid the cocktails.
Greeted immediately and seated shortly afterwards. Sat at a window-side booth. The main seating area was about half full. Table was clean and serviced. Enjoyed the #10, pho with everything, my preference would have been to have more on the garnish plate, also IF #10 lists tendons there weren't any. Great broth and noodles. We also had vermicelli with prawns and pork, often order this, sauce was better than most, prawns were a tad small, the addition of peanuts did bring it together. Ordered a to go of summer rolls, came right on time, paying was seemless.
MoreStaff was polite and kind even when a friend hit on the waitress! Their food is always up to par. We went as a big group of 8 and still had many options left over from the menu. Go try it out! You wont be disappointed!
MoreGood place to stop by when you're in town, but not an authentic place if that's what you're craving for.The place is pretty roomy. Plenty of parking and can accommodate large party without having to be put in a room.Food is great. Not an authentic place, but pretty yummy. Portion is quite large as well. Staff were friendly and helpful!
MoreSam City had been on my list of places to check out for nearly six months before I finally made it in, and it was mistake for me to take so long! They offer a diverse and delicious menu that includes a salad with their signature dressing which has to be one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had, it should definitely be the first appetizer you order. Quick and cheerful service was another bonus, thank you to Lexi for being a great host! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu, don’t hesitate to give Sam City a shot.
MoreFood is absolutely amazing bar far the best Vietnamese/ Korean I have had in Oregon. Customer service can be a hit or miss.
MoreOne of our 'goto' places in Albany for a tasty meal prepared with fresh quality ingredients.
MoreIf you can find better pho in the Corvallis-Albany area, let me know. Their pho is always made with beef broth and there's not as many vegan vegetarian options here that aren't swimming in oil. Cute place though!
MoreI ate at Sam City Pho & Grill on Pacific Boulevard SE in Albany with a friend during our lunch break.Really nice decor and there are booths and a nice dining side with tables. Everyone there is super-friendly and accommodating. I had the Chicken Pho which was wonderful. The flavors all worked together to make for a great dish.My friend had the Chicken Katsu which I had a chance to try. And that is phenomenal: just the right amount of crispness on the outside, with super-tasty sauce, and extremely tender chicken on the inside.I’ll definitely be returning.
MoreNot bad at all. I normally like mint in my summer rolls but peanut sauce made up for it. Friendly staff n chill atmosphere! Totally enjoyed it! #Aloha!
MoreThe Pho was so yummy and service was good. I will make my way back to try more dishes.
MoreGood portions. It tastes great. Best Pho in the Valley! Not too many real Korean & Vietnamese places around these parts. This place provides a semi-genuine Southeast Asian experience through it's cuisine. The menu has a little something for everyone, so if you have a tag-along whose picky; they can get a burger if they want. Just a great place.
MoreI dont know why the ratings are so good. I couldn't eat the salad, it was wilted iceberg lettuce with big hunks of celery and one slice of cucumber. I ordered grilled pork with rice and honestly will never go back. It was greasy and the flavor was ok but tasted like cheap honey and soy sauce. Not what I was expecting for $16 plus tip.
MoreFantastic Pho! One of my favorite places to go for it.
Great taste, enough food for a couple of meals.
The food tasted very good. I had the pork and rice dish. Unfortunately they had run out of spring rolls. My only complaint is that the booth we were sitting in was worn out and dirty. But the service and meal were worthwhile.
MoreFrom the first moment you arrive in that restaurant team give you an excellent feeling. Very courteous waiters, it is a lovely restaurant to to go out with your friends or with your date. Excellent meals, qualified chef, modest pay and generous service. Highly recommended.
MoreExcellent place to eat if you have a dairy allergy!
We had them after a work meeting and everything was so good! The rice, the prawns, the other things I don’t know what they were called! If I come down from Washington again I’m stopping here!
MoreHad #88 pho tang kim which is pho with Korean kimchi and grilled pork. A nice change for pho-jaded people like me. Super spicy which was expected given the kimchi spices, but made it hard to slurp the broth without getting a coughing fit. Very good otherwise. Drove down from Salem to try them out.
MoreWent to have lunch at this place with my wife. First waitress or hostess looked at us and then proceeded to clean tables rather than seat us. Finally were seated and given menus. We were ready to order had our menus closed. Waitress took orders around us and didn't even acknowledge us. Waitresses walked by our table three more times never took our order and never even acknowledged us. After 10 minutes we left. Incredibly horrible service.
MoreI love the food here but the service has gone down hill so much. Incredibly slow, rude waiters, and they run out of certain items. I called in a take out order, I was told 30 minutes, it took over 50 minutes. Recently went for dinner, they were so slow we we almost there for 2 hours. If you go in expecting slow service, and potentially rude, the food is worth it! I love the pho, orange chicken, and spicy bulgogi
MoreThe food is delicious but the customer service is absolutely horrible! TWO waitresses walked past us at least THREE times while we were waiting to be seated and didn’t acknowledge us or welcome us in. All the times I’ve gone is cause the food is so good but don’t expect anything less than the WORST customer service ever... they also do not check up on your table and one waitress had the most bitter looking face the ENTIRE time she attended us. TRASH customer service - that’s what the one star rating is for. Retrain your employees. Absolutely disappointing.
MoreQuality is always top notch and I love the owners.
The food is incredible. The staff is always friendly. My daughter says they have the best burger in town.;)
MoreTerrific Oriental Salad. A friend had their Special Pho which was delicious with beef broth and rib eye.
MoreThis is a casual fusion style restaurant mixing Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese fare. The food is above average and the portions are large. The staff is usually friendly and Melody is an awesome server. I like the Stir fry cabbage option over the salad when choosing my entres. It gives a nice flavor texture and profile to whatever else you are eating. Like I said they are 3 restaurants in one so there's lots and lots to choose from even their cheeseburger and French fries are really good.
MoreWe love the food here but don't go often because of the poor service. Reading reviews I see many others agree. When I'm spending my entertainment dollars I expect to feel welcome. The two waitresses today seemed to be having a competition at perfecting rest b**** face. They both were winning. Not even a hint of a smile happened. I don't think I've ever experienced a crankier set of servers. But again-the food is fabulous.
MoreAlways a great place to eat. Friendly staff and great food!
The pho was amazing enough to bring me back two days on my 3 day trip.
They are understaffed and the staff they do have do not provide good customer service. We were a group of 8. They took are drink orders but waited far to long in bringing just water to the table at with that they didn't even bring the correct amount. After placing the food order we waited far to long to get our food leaving ample time to let the alcohol hit empty stomachs. When requesting another drink they declined to serve us. We finally received our food. It was excellent and worthy of a higher rating except for the kids dish which was crumbs of breaded chicken that was over cooked. I would consider going back but did not appreciate the poor customer service that I feel is one of the most important things.
MoreGreat food here. Never had a bad experience. My personal favorite is the Phó, and their broth is exceptional. I've also had some of their appetizers and noodle dishes, and as I said, never disappointed. Can't say enough positive things, so I'll just make my recommendation that you eat at Sam City next chance you get.
MoreI love their vermicelli bowls and summer rolls.
We've been here a dozen times and I have only ordered one thing, Christian's Choice. Try it, you'll love it. All the workers are very down to earth and fun people.
MoreLove Sam City. Best Tai food in the Valley Always a pleasure. PHO KING GOOD !!!!!!!!!
MoreAlways fresh tasting. The owners are great people and their restaurant is worth the drive!
MoreBad service and likely to get your order wrong the first time but the food is amazing when they get it right.
MoreI really enjoyed the spicy beef pho here even though it wasn't that spicy. The service was fast and friendly. Is also close to the 5 which is nice.
MoreAsian Fusion. Awesome food. Probably the best independent restaurant in Albany. Skip the chain places this places beats them all.
MoreLarge portions. Plan on bringing half of it home. Reasonable prices, approx $9 for lunch. Fresh, delicious ingredients. Subtle blended flavors. Refreshing. The kind of lunch that fills you up without weighing you down.
MoreNot disappointed, 2nd visit. Good food, helpful server with ordering, seems to have a lot of options. Love sticky rice, highly recommend a visit. Thank you!
